I am inspired by the work of other young persons not only in my own country but worldwide. I am also inspired by the work of one Youth serving organisation in particular in Jamaica and that is the National Center For Youth Development. An issue that matters to me is [youth] leadership. As I observed the leadership pursuits of my peers, I saw how easily good intentioned-leaders became corrupted leaders, and how charismatic leaders became narcissistic. Some leaders that I admire in history are Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, and Nelson Mandela who not only voiced the many injustices against people of African descent, but who also called for equality for all. Knowing that I have the privilege of living in this part of the world with things my cousins back home think they need. i have to represent for them and for my family here in Canada to do my best in everything i do.
